I installed Hotfix 199866 on backupexec 2012 r2 sp1.  I can no longer backup my linux servers.  It now states "Failure to browse".  Anyone else run into this?  My linux servers are all running sles 10 sp3.

Hi

There is no BE2012 R2 yet released by Symantec ,so are you mentioning BE2012 here and have you tried reinstalling agent on Linux server and have checked

Thanks

Hi

Sorry I meant BE2012.  It has happened on all 10 linux boxes at the same time.  When I try to uninstall the agent it seems to lockup at "uninstalling SymSnap driver".

Thanks

A reinstall of the agent really should not be necessary.

If you create a new job, are you able to browse (make selections) for any of your Linux servers? If not, have you tried restarting the Linux agent to see if this helps?

I have restarted the agents, and same issue.  I have deleted the servers from backupexec, and they repopulate in the selection list.  I just cannot browse the server.  I'm leaning toward reinstalling backupexec (not reinstalling update) to see if it solves the problem.
