How to automatically eject tapes ?

I want to eject two tapes at say 9 am so I can quickly change them in the morning when I come in.

Some jobs take a little longer than others depending on the amount of data they backup so I can or dont want to guess at the last job and then eject the tape then. Rather I would like to eject the tap as a separate job. However I would prefer to not create a  backup job for some sample file and then write it to the tape and then eject it.

Can I eject the tapes at a time w/out actually backing up a file?

Thanks.

You could setup a  couple of BEMCMD jobs with the -o115 operand and run them from the Windows Task Scheduler

Yeah - BEMCMD is a command line utility, should be in the BackupExec\NT directory (t think, its been awhile since I looked)

You can do a  "BEMCMD /? > BEMCMD.TXT" to get a listing of all the switches and their usage.

A v10d version is here http://support.veritas.com/docs/275538  and should be mostly the same
