How to restore a full Windows backup to a new server or virtual machine?

Hi,

I'm running Backup Exec 10d on Windows 2000 Server.

I run nightly full backups for all my systems on the network.

One of these systems, running Windows 2000 Server, got stuck after a reboot today and apparently there is no way to bring it back online.

I've the nighly full backup of the system on the Backup Exec server, how can I restore it to a new system with no operating system (or better to a VMware virtual machine)?

Should I first do a clean Windows 2000 Server installation on the new system/VM and then restore the backup? If so, how?

You now want to restore the Data to another server ?

Please excplain the environment in detail and want actually want to do ?

Do you have Intelligent Disaster recovery option also ?
