BAckup Exec 10 Version 5520
IDR resote of remote server looping

complete a backup and creation of a IDR CD, When i come to resore the system using the IDR CD.

This pink veritas screen comes up press 'ENTER'
Load the required array and SCSI card drivers and then the IDR formats and builds a file list which will be installed on the system It then reboots asking all floppy disk to be removed.
When it reboots the pink veritas screen comes up and I press 'ESCAPE' which should start the next part of the resore with windows starting up (i.e. IDR version) but all it does is reboot the machine and then goes back to the veritas screen.

Where am i going wrong? why is it looping

Hello,

- Are you performing a local IDR?
- What is the version of your OS?

Additionally please refer the following technotes.

The trick is to remove the CD before the reboot between Text- and GUI mode. The IDR process will continue until an error message occours that files are missing and/or prompt for insertion of Windows 2000 SPx CD-ROM. Regardless of what the errormessage is just reinsert your IDR CD and hopefully the IDR process will complete.
