Hi,
I have a 30-slot library with one drive and one mail slot. Four daily tapes (slot 1-4), four weekly tapes (slot 5-8) and twelve monthly tapes (slot 9-20).
A person at our company are supposed to take the most recent weekly backup back home, and bring back the old weekly backup that was at home.
So: I created a policy that exported the tape after the weekly backup has went. It works fine, though the log says "error" on every slot exept the one where the fresh backup is... but the tape goes to the slot, thats ok.
The problem is on saturday morning, when my colleague comes to pick this tape out and then puts the oldest weekly tape into the slot. Now I want this tape to be imported to one of the four weekly tape slots that is free. OK?
As I understand, you can only import a tape with rightclicking on a slot and choose Import. Problem is that I don�t know which slot to import to, I only know that one of the four weekly tape slots is empty, waiting for a tape...
Anyone can help? Or do I have to import this manual every time or through the library�s HTTP interface?
I can also mention that the library are partitioned as 1-4, 5-8, 9-20. Also are every media put in separate media set, so.. if only BE had been a little bit smarter there wouldn�t be a problem..;-)
