This topic was raised before however the solutions did not seem to apply to my situation.
I have Backup exec 11d on a Windows Server2003 (64bit) with all updates applied through 'Liveupdate'.
After updating the above server I installed the Agent remotely on my Exchange 2003 server (32bit). When I backup the exchange server to a B2D folder I receive the message that the backup succeeded but the agent does not support restoring individual items.
I have replicated this configuration at another site with the same results.
I have replicated this configuration at a third site except I used the 32bit version of 2003 server with the 32 bit version of backup exec and this works for individual exchange items.
It seems to me that the 64bit version of Backup exec has issues when talking with an agent running on a 32bit OS. Can anyone confirm? Any other suggestions gratefully received.
