Incremental of Linux agent

Hi,

one of my backup jobs consists of a lot of very big files which are generated once, but don't change afterwards. Around 10GB is generated every day, so this s ideal for an incremental backup.

Once a week I do a full backup (resetting the archive bit), and the rest of the week I append the daily changes to the same tape (incremental on archive bit). For a while this worked great.

I moved this data to a linux server and work now through the BUE Agent for Linux. But there the incremental does not work and a full backup is always run for this share. Is this normal, how can I work around it?

What system would you propose?

Best regards,
Leen Toelen

Change the backup method for the Full backup to be Full Backup - Allow Incremental or Differential using Modified Time.
Change the incremental backup method to use the Incremental using modified time.

UNIX/Linux files do not have archive bits to reset.
