Installation of BE 10 SP1 in italian fails if BE DB is on SQL server different from the BE server. No problem if DB is local eiher SQL or MSDE.

I had this same issue this morning. I had to install SQL tools on the media server first so the update can find OSQL.exe. After that, I got error when the update script was re-attaching the database because it had a made up path for the log file. I ended up making the path for the logfile on my SQL server, detaching my database and putting the logfile where BE wanted it and the re-attaching the database. This allowed the updates to run. After I ran all updates, I put my SQL db files back where I wanted them.

Hope this helps!
