Inventory Failed (error 0xe0008131)

Hello,

We've serious problems with BE 12.5 and an HP autoloader Storageworks 1/8 SAS Ultrium4.

When we try to make the inventory of the library, the process ends with a fail status.

IN the process logs, we see that some autoloader slots are correctly recognized, but others fail with the status "0xe0008131".

I've searched this error, but with no results.

All the media are new, and the autoloader is new too.

It may be already damaged?

Have you tried replacing the media that gives errors?  Are there any errors in the loader interface (web or LCD)?

Hello Larry,

6 cartrige (on 8 totals) give this error.....

I'ts strange that they are really defective, and they are also new!

No errors on the loade interface.

maybe it is a batch of bad media?  do the other cartridges work OK for backups, etc?  that would confirm that the drive is in decent shape, although it may not be perfect.

Check your auto loader and hardware changes or tape drivers that are not yet updated,check if the database is locked then unlock thats the time you can re-run inventory.Update symantec sometimes.Some hardware-caused error also might prevent for the BE to perform exactly what it does.Pls reply to me if there is still a problem and try something else.
