Is IBM 3580 Gen3 (LTO3) tape drive supported?

We are installing upgraded servers and are looking at purchasing an IBM 3580 Gen3 (LTO3) tape drive and were wondering if it is supported. I can't find anything on the 3580 on the HCL.

The IBM 3580 (LTO) is compatible with Backup Exec version 9.1. You can also check the compatibily at:
