Is there a way to get an old job history back ?

I wonder if it is possible to restore an old Job history ?

If you mean the Job Log (the XML file) - if you have backed up the BackupExec directory, you should be able to restore any or all of them

If you mean re-create a catalog - insert the tape, iunventory, then catalog.

How do you restore the Job Log xml file ? Do you add
data to the existing xml file or do you overwrite the existing xml file if you do restore ?

Hi,

If you have taken backup of the Veritas Directory e.g(c:\Program files\veritas\backup exec\NT\DATA) then you can restore that job related information.

While restoring it you have 3 options :
1.restore over existing file (overwrite)
2.skip if file exists
3.skip if existing file is more recent
