JObs that go to Queued status? What does that mean?

I have tried to run a couple of jobs, and they start fine. I watch the remote server and I see the icon for the agent in that system tray. As the job starts, I see it change from idle to in use.
 
After a while, the job status changes to "Queued", and the agent is idle again.
 
Can anyone explain what is happening here? Or can anyone advise how I check what the BE server thinks is going on?

Is this backup going to tape or to disk?  If it is going to disk do you have the option to "Allocate the maximum size for backup-to-disk files" enabled?

The backup is going to disk. I do not have that option enabled.
 
I'm going to try a few more idea's, now I have slept on the problem!! VBut if anyone has any more suggestions, please let me know.

just for test Create a new Device pointing to the same directory where the other B2D files are.
 
I have solved the problem this way.
