LTO 3 Quantum, Certance magazine autoloader, compression and speed settings

We just put in an LTO 3, info above, and we seem to be getting lousy speed on our backups, and we are not getting any compression. The web portal for the device shows the compression is disabled and all instructions say to use your software to enable it.

I have gone into the device config and set the compression to enabled, but it still is making no difference.

Can you please assist me in trying to resolve these issues?

As a side note, we have 2 upgrade certificates for 11d, and we have 2 versions of 10 running that qualify for upgrade to 11d, but we are unable to obtain license keys from symantec or the license portal. Any news as to when this issue may be resolved?

Thanks for your assistance.

Hello,

Please refer to the following Documents:

Backups fail to get double the amount of the native capacity recorded to a media, even when hardware compression is being utilized.

How to confirm that the data is being properly written to the tape media

You could also isolate the issue by running backups with the ntbackup utility or by trying a backup with software compression activated.
