Library Expanion Option

We purchased 4 Library Expansion Option for Backup Exec 11 for two autoloaders that we had which contained 2 drives each. The plan though was to add additional drives but we've found that LEO licence can only be used once per installation. Can our licence be split in any way?

I don't understand what you rmean.  Any BackupExec serial can only be used once

So you have a media server with two autoloaders, each with two tape drives?

You should only need three LEO serials.  One for the second loader, and one each for the second drive in each loader

We currently have:

2x BUE servers each with an autoloader with 1 drive. NO LEO required.

2x BUE server each with an autoloader with 3 drives each. 2 LEO serials required.

I've been told that the scenario was given to Symantec and they gave us the recommendation of what serials to purchase.

(Sorry I meant 3 drives each above).

So you got 1 serial that was good for 4 LEOs?

You are going to have to exchange it, if you can,  for four individal serials or two  for two each.
