MS SQL server master database restore fails

Hi,

I am having problems with MS SQL 2000 master database restore. I have BackupExec 10.0 with SQL agent installed and the backup does not show any errors. When restoring other databases to SQL server it works just fine, but when you put sql to single user mode and try to restore master, it fails with access denied error.

I double checked that backupexec account has domain admin rights and also has access to the following registry keys on SQL server:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSSQLServer

I have also tried to use sa account to restore the database - no luck.

Any help would really be appreciated,

Andre Visse
