I cannot install or uninstall BackupExec Service Packs. I recieve "Cannot Open User Default Database, Login Failed"
Upon Restart of the server I recieve this error "The Backup Exec Agent Browser service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."
When I run a Test backup this error occurs:
Description:
Faulting application beremote.exe, version 12.5.2213.175, faulting module bedssps2.dll, version 12.5.2213.173, fault address 0x00027914.
All my Backup Exec Services are starting except Backup Exec agent browser.

Hi Tina,
Is this servive started up with the LocalSystem account? Also, have you opened up BEutility.exe and run a DB repair? If the DB repair doesn't work, consider repairing your installtion through Add/Remove Programs.

yes, the BkupExevSQL service is starting up with the Local account. Yes, I have run the DB repair and It completes with no errors.
Yes, Ran the repair option for the installation of Backup exec 12.5.
This server has SQL 2005 installed as it is a SBS 2003 Server.
I tried to create a new media database and it fails with an error.
