Media Usage Problem

IS there Any option that i can use specific Media.
like monay to use MON Tape & Tuesday to Use TUE Tape.

issue is that i'm using Grandfather,Father policy for backup
using Robotic Library.

Implementing Daily diff. Bqackup And Weekly Full.

Please Halp me.

Hello,

You can create media sets with the names MON, TUE etc.. and then target the jobs towards these media sets.Refer to the following technote:

And also you can partition your library to separate the tapes in different slot groups, and send the tasks to the specific slot at any given day

Setting up Media Sets will not work. Backup Exec appears to have a design flaw in the way it handles Media Sets which can result in lost data due to overwritten tapes.
