Media error handling - rollover to backup-to-disk when tape fails

Hi all,

I have a remote branch office that frequently runs into issue with the daily backup. The people who are respond for changing the tape every morning often forget to load the tape. Is it possible to configure Veritas to failover the daily backup to "backup-to-disk" AFTER the tape media fails?! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
In the job properties instead of selecting the specific tape drive as the destination device please select the all drives pool as the target device under the option device and media. The job will hence run to any of the available drives avilable in the drive pool.
Also please ensure that you have configured a backup to disk folder before that.
