Microsoft volume shadow copy service

Hi Running Backup Exec 10.0 For Windows Samll Business Servers, with SP1 applied on an SBS2003 machine.
I get the error
Final error: 0xe000fec2 - A failure occurred accessing the SnapShot handle.
Final error category: Resource Errors

For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-65218

The link says that th evaluation licence has expired, and this is confirmed in the logs.

My question is if I'm using the microsoft service, and the veritas product is supposed to support SBS, then why do I need to buy a licence. Or if it should work what am I doing wrong. I can understand that if I was using Veritas AOFO then a licence would be required, but I'm not.

Hello,

AOFO components are used for backing up open files. However this is used in integration with some Microsoft features. AOFO is a paid option hence you will require a license.

For more information refer the following technotes.
