Move C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\Data

I've seen this mentioned several times in this forum, but I can't find a definitive post on how to do it. When I change the registry key HKLM\Software\Veritas\Backup Exec\Engine\Misc, I get a 'Database not found' error when I try to start the BE services. I also shut down the BE MSDE instance when attempting this.

This is BE 9.1 on W2K.

Hello,

Are you changing the path of the data folder? In that case you will have to stop all Backup Exec services including MSSQL$BKUPEXEC. Actually change the path and reboot the server. However changing the path of the data folder is not recommended by Veritas.
