Moving from version 9.1 to 11d

Hi,
 
I am in the process of planning a move from Backup Exec v9.1 to 11d. The advice was not to upgrade but do a clean installation on a new server. Can anyone advise how I keep the backup history from v9.1 for restore purposes etc?

When you say the backup history, presumably you mean the listings of the tape contents, or catalogs?
If so, you should be able to install BE11d, then copy the contents of the catalogs folder from the BE9 server to the new server. Restart the BE services, and the catalogs should be imported.

Thanks for that. I'm looking to be able to do restores in v 11d from our existing backup tapes created in V9.1 but couldn't figure out how I could see these tapes in the new version.
