Hi,

We have a NetApp filer (FAS 3210). This is backed up to tapes (Tandberg T40) using BE 2012 sp1a. This was recently upgraded from BE 2010. Now this is the problem:

When the NDMP backup begins the following error is generated. But the backup continues and I am even able to restore the using these backups.

Error:

Job ended: Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 9:25:01 PM
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe0001309 - The NDMP server returned a backup error.
See the NDMP Log for more information.
Final error category: Resource Errors

For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-4873

When I explored furthur, I found that :

(The volume name is WINUSR. But there is no folder called 'New Folder'  as stated by the below error log.

Hi,

Are these by any chance old backup jobs upgraded from BE2010 to BE 2012? If yes, then try editing the job and click edit in the Backup properties and go to Selection Details and check if a folder called "New Folder" is listed in the selection details and remove it if it is there.

Thanks

Hi Ashwin,

I had deleted the old jobs after the upgrade and created them again. I was wondering that whether it has something to do with SQL database?

Cheers..

It could be something to do with the database, when you deleted the old jobs did you get any errors of any kind or abnormal behavior? I am guessing yuo deleted them after you upgraded to BE2012.

Did the new job you created have the same name? Did you check the selection details for the new job as well?

Thanks
