Need help with remote agent question

Hi,

At the moment we are running backup exec 10.0 rev. 5484, with sp 1. We are going to implement a new backupserver with backup exec version 10.1d. Do we also have to upgrade the remote agent? Or can we use 10.1d with the remote agent of 10.0.

Is it possible to have version 10.0 on one server and 10.1d on another server so we can make a quick rollback if things go wrong? Or is it possible to run 2 remote agents with different versions on one "remote" server?

Hi Ramon!

In this case you will have to upgrade the remote agent .

You can't use the remote agent of 10.0 v5484 sp1 if you upgrade it to 10.1d. as well as it is not possible to have different versions of RAWS, running on one server at the same time.


Please also note that there is no backward compatibility supported.
