No selections using Linux agent

I just upgraded to BE10 running on a Windows 2003 server. I put the new Backup Exec Remote Agent for Linux on a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9.0 box. It seems that I can connect to the agent from the selection list in the BE manager, but I cannot see any files to select. Any ideas what is wrong? Thanks.

Have you purchased and installed the license?

I was caught out by this... The new RALUS agent is a cost option.

It appears that you are trying to backup Suse Linux Enterprise Server 9.0 which is not conpatible with BackupExec v10.0.

You may verify the same from the following link.

Do you know when/if SLES 9 will be supported? How about Novell's upcoming Open Enterprise Server that runs on SLES9?

I also did not realize that I have to purchase RALUS now! So I missed that one too.

Is my only officially supported option to use the old Unix agent?

Thanks.

Sorry about the incorrect information posted above. SLES 9 is supported by RALUS (and is listed on the Compatability list):

A lack of a license will cause the selection issue you describe.

Nobody can officially say anything about future versions until they are announced. Unofficially I can say that OES is being considered for a new version of the product. A fair amount of new code is required to support some of the features that will be present in OES.
