I have a customer whose backup server (a recently installed Backup Exec 2010 R3 completely up to date) gets frozen every two days or less, on average. It also shows several ODBC errors produced by Backup Exec most of times the server hungs.
The backup server is an IBM blade mounting Windows 2008 R2 SP1, which is also fully updated in terms of drivers, operating system and firmware.
IBM support people is also investigating the issue.
They use a LTO5 IBM TS3200 Tape Library. They are using Symantec Drivers for the drives and Windows one for the Medium Changer.
At startup it always shows dozens of errors like the ones shown in this thread: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/new-installation-help
Does anyone have any idea of what could be happening?
