ODBC access to catalogs

I would like to have readonly access to the database so i can do searches I can save or export the results of, better sorting and reporting, and so on.

How can I get the BE ODBC driver installed on my workstation, and are there any issues with doing this?

I am not sure what you mean but with the SQL Enterprie manager you can look into the BE database and perform queries on it if necessary. As far as ODBC is concerned I don't know if you need BE drivers. If you configure a new User DSN which point to the BE database it should work. (although I never tried this myself)

Hello,

It is not recommended to access the Backup Exec database.
