Oracle database on redhat linux

We are currently running backup exec 10 for windows and want to backup a oracle database running on redhat linux. I understand we need to purchase the remote agent for linux, but the only oracle agent is for a database running on a windows system. Is it possible to backup the oracle db running on redhat with backup exec?

No it is not possible if you want to do backups with the databases mounted - at least not yet - would suggest putting in an enhancement request http://enhancement.veritas.com

John is correct, there is no support for Oracle for Linux at this time.
