Oracle listener stops during Backup Exec Backup

Using Backup Exec Agent for Oracle
and Backup exec Agent for Windows
On Server 2003

During a Backup of the Oracle Database The Oracle Listener stops, which prevents anything from communicating with the database. The Veritas Job log says that there was a communications error with the remote agent. Does anyone know of any issues with the latest version of Oracle .
