Our 2003 server hangs when performing system state backup.

We are trying to perform a backup of our Windows 2003 server and it hangs when we turn on the capture system state feature. The system eventually reboots itself. Any ideas?

Hello,

Do you see any errors related to VSS in the event viewer? Please run the following command in the command line utility to check out for any errors on the VSS providers:

Vssadmin list writers.

Has the service pack 1 for Windows 2003 been installed over N-lite?
Have you tried backing up the System state over the ntbackup utility of windows?
