Overwrite or Append Media with Exchange CPS Jobs

When creating a new Exchange CPS job, should I set the backup to overwrite or append? My snapshots are set to 4 hours and I run a CPS B2D every evening. I'm noticing that my volume is growing quite quickly due to the new job.

Also, does anyone know of a document that clearly lays out the settings for Exchange CPS jobs and setup?

I've already read that document and it provides NO specific information for the configuration of Exchange continuous protection jobs.
