I need to know if it is advisable to use the /PAE switch on the Boot.INI file of my server to gain server/application performance without sacrificing stability?
I have a Dell PowerEdge 2950 Server with 8GB of RAM running Windows 2003 Enterprise Server SP2, along with Microsoft Exchange 2003 Enterprise Server SP2, and Symantec Backup Exec v11 Server.
Additionally, I am using /3GB to allocate more memory for my Exchange mail server. So I would also need to know if it is advisable to use both /3GB and /PAE switches in the said environment?
