Problem with CPU overload after backup runs.

The process bengine.exe takes up 80 % of the CPU when back up is running and it is slowing down the Sever. After backup runs the process keeps running at a high percentage and is slowing down my server.

Hi,

What is the resource that you are backing up? Are you also backing up Exchange?

Do you get any errors or Event log?

Are there any active alerts in BE?

Exactly when bengine.exe utilizes 80% CPU cycles - while backing up a particular file/folder or when backup is started?

If using AOFO for backup, try a backup without using OFO option.

To isolate the issue also try splitting the job!

For test purpose disable anti virus if running during backp.

Bengine consumes near 100% of CPU
Running BE 12.5 with all updates when backups kick off dual-dual processor box goes to 100 % utilization and backups crawl. Any ideas?
