Question about patches for V9.1

Hi again...My company has given me the task of installing the following two patches onto about 35 W2003 BE V9.1 Servers.
Patch Be4691RHF40_273420.exe
Patch Be4691RSP1_267180.exe

My question is...If I was to upgrade to Version 10.0 of BE Would I still need to apply these patches...?

Patches are advised to be installed only when there is an issue with the functionality of the Backup exec.

However if you are looking forward to upgrade (Backup exec v10.0) then in that case there is no need to install the patches (Backup exec v9.1)

do you need new licenses for version 10. Is the upgrade free if you have license for the 9.x

The upgrade from v9.X to Backup Exec 10.0 is a paid upgrade.
