Question regarding MSDE

Hi,

we plan to upgrade from 8.6 to 10.0.
Now a little problem: On that machine ther is a TrendMicro Package (OfficeScan, ServerProtect, Control Manager...) installed which uses a MSDE (I think it is version 7.0).

Will there be a problem when installing BE 10.0?
I've read that BE creates a new instance but that was when the same version of MSDE is alreday installed, isn't it?

What will happen to the "old" version of MSDE (7.0) when I install BE 10.0?
Will it be upgraded?

One of our DB Admins was not sure about that.

Hello,

When you will be installing BEWS 10.0 you will get an option to create a new MSDE instance or to use an existing SQL instance.
Please select the option to create a new MSDE instance this will not affect the existing MSDE instance.

just as an info:
The installation of BE destroyed our TrendMicro ServiceConsole although we chose to create a new MSDE.
