RAWS not recognized on Windows XP

Hello,

as I read in the support docs push install does not function on Win XP SP2. So I copied the RANT32 folder to drive C: of every PC I need to backup. On most of the PCs the service is running and recognized on the media server but I have one PC where the media server tells me it is installed and running but can't see the version number of RAWS. So on this PC I can't backup local folders as they don't show up.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix it? As I said there are other PCs that I can backup and they were all installed the same way.

Do elaborate more on "but can't see the version number of RAWS."

After installing the RAWS on the pc which is in question, did you see the service is running under local system account?

Hello,

thank you for your help. But I should have read all the information concerning this problem.

The problem was that on this (and only on this) PC the Windows Firewall was activated. After changing this everything went fine.
