Random media selection ?

Hi,

I'm currently backing up several servers to an 1-TB NAS unit, and it's working great with the Backup-to-Disk "device".

The problem is that when BackupExec 10.d is allocating the media it takes it randomly from the directory that's used. For ex. I have 1GB Media B2D files, and get aprox 20 of them from one server when the backup start the first time it creates B2D000001..00000020, the next time the backup runs it does not start over and take the media devices in the correct order (01...20) instead it jumps (03..10..20...04) is there a way to control this order, or how is it decided?

Hello Dick,

the selection of media is done on the Media Set configuration (under Media Set Properties) and the Media Mangemnet configuration (under Tools -> Options -> Media Management). Could you please let us know both of these.
