Rasman and NtmsSvc errors

I saw a bunch of threads on the old 10.0 with rasman, etc., but I couldn't find any on 11d yet. I am not 100% sure this is Symantec related, but the timing seems the same, so I am looking maybe for a way to prove or disprove this as much as anything.

We recently put the evaluation version on a server and then licensed it. When the server restarts, we get a ton of:

>> The Remote Access Connection Manager service failed to
>> start due to the following error:
>> The service did not respond to the start or control request
>> in a timely fashion.

>> Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction
>> response from the RasMan service.

and

>> Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction
>> response from the NtmsSvc service.

This seems to have begun when we installed Backupexec, but since there was more than one person involved, I can not be 100%

I don't get many shots at rebooting this client's server. Is there anything I can try next time that will let me determine if it is Symantec that is causing this or even better to fix this error?

According to BUE, the tape drive is:

HP Ultrium 1-SCSI, LTO 64K

Jay,

I have not heard of the issue at hand, but you could set all the Backup Exec services to manual, reboot the server and then see if those other services come up fine. If that does happen, there could be a problem with to many services attempting to start at the same time.
