Error: To fully protect Windows Server 2003, you must select Shadow Cop

We Selected Shadow copy & and the two sub selections. Still getting error to select shadow.
Shadow copy service is set to manual.
This is throwing the same error at several sites.
It would be nice to see some clean logs.

I/O error on backup or restore restart-checkpoint file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$BKUPEXEC\backup\master4IDR.ckp'. Operating system error 3(The system cannot find the path specified.). The statement is proceeding but is non-restartable.
Created folder will test tonight.

Please refer to the following technote to resolve this issue:

"To fully protect Windows Server 2003, you must select Shadow Copy Components for backup" (a000fefc HEX, e000fefc HEX, a0009419 HEX or e0009419 HEX) is reported during a backup after upgrading Backup Exec media servers or remote servers to Windows Server 2003.

So, do you not select service & system state but, do select user ?

Can you be more specific:

Do you select Shadow Copy
set the service to auto and start it ?
select service state.

don't select Shadow copy and it will remove
system state.
So please be more specific.
