Reduce 30min wait for command files to complete

I use Backup Exec in combination with pre and post command files defined witin the advanced tab of job prprerties. I have read that when the pre backup job is started there is a 30 Min period before the backup can start. Can this period of time be reduced?

What you are thinking of was the maximum amount of time that a Pre or Post command will be allowed to execute before BackupExec will force the termination of the pre/Post job

If you know that a Pre/Post job should only take 1.5 minutes, you can alter the timeout to 2 or 3 minutes by following the TechNote
