Remote Agent for Windows Server

Hello

I am trying to install the RANT32 (10d, SP4) on to a Windows Server 2003 SP2 x86 server. I have tried pushing it out from the main server and it appears to succeed but on looking at the destination the remote agent isn't installed.

I tried to manually install from the conole of the server but this also fails to install. The Windows Installer pops up brifly and then closes down. I get the following in the System Log:

Has anybody got any ideas as to what could be causing the installation to fail?

Hi Julian,

Have you made sure that your AV isn't blocking the installation?

Hi CraigV , yeah I disabled all the AV services, rebooted and tried the installation again but it still does exactly the same.

...and you have enough disk space available on the target server?

Yes there is plenty, 12Gb plus!

Check add/remove programs and remove any existing entry of Remote Agent on the system. there are some existing entries of the sofware, possibly old version which seems to be causing this issue.

I have already checked Add/Remove for any existing entries and there aren't any. I even ran the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to see if there was anything showing but there isn't. I've even gone through the registry and removed any entries that refered to any previous installations and it still refuses to install.
