When I backup a SQL database on my local Backup Exec server, I get the following error message:
V-79-57344-3844 - The media server was unable to connect to the Remote Agent on machine SQLSERVER.
The media server will use the local agent to try to complete the operation.
Remote Agent not detected on \\SQLSERVER.
The backup then proceeds normally, but I'm left with a big fat error message in the logs.
Why is the server trying to backup itself with a remote agent, and only for SQL Server databases? It doesn't try this with regular files.
I recently upgraded from v9.1 to v11d, and I didn't get this error before the upgrade.
