Restore Backup Exec backup without disaster recovery files

We have been crypted this morning, BackupExec was installed on the server and the backup drive was attached to it, is it possible to restore ?

The Disaster recovery alternate data path file seems to be crypted

Assuming you are trying to recover the entire server.

You can do a manual disaster recovery

In short you install the OS "first" same server name drive setup etc.

Install BE

Inventory/Catalogs the tapes - This will bring back your restore selections basically what the DR files are holding that you dont have access to.

Restore the server resource.
