Restore from tape issue

Just when I thought I had a handle on it.....

I use the Backup-To-Disk feature for Diffs and Fulls each week and then copy the Fulls to Tape at the end of each week. I am now trying to recover data from one of the tapes by restoring it to the same place it was copied from, running an inventory job against it and then running new catalog to get to the files I need. Of course it is not working at all, what am I doing wrong, and what is the proper method for recovering data from tape that are copies of backups to disk?

What errors or problems are you having?

For future reference, rather than a standard COPY backup do a DUPLICATE back when you go from D2D2T. This way you can restore directly from Tape, without having to restore the BKF files and then restore from that
