For reasons I don't want to explain...I had to reimage the server that BE 9.1 resides.  I was not able to save any BE related database information.  I reinstalled BE 9.1 on the new image, and my tape library is recognized and ready to go.

I now need to restore some files off of the tapes that were backed up with the previous server image that also used BE 9.1.  Is this possible?

use http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/260054.htm as a template to recover your complete install.  You obviously won't be able to copy the registry entries, but it will tell you how to move your catalogs and the PVL.MDB database that contains all your media set, schedules etc
