Restore to VMware

I am trying out Symantec Backup Exec 11d for Windows Servers and want to be able to restore to a VMware session. In my research I found that VMWare converter will do this but the file type needed is .sv2i but the file I get from Symantec is .bkf. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What you can do with Backup Exec is backup and restore files inside virtual machines, the same way as if they were physical.

There's another product that is able to create an image file from a physical machine and then "translate" that file to VMWare. That product is called Backup Exec System Recovery.
