Restoring Exchange from VSS Snapshot

Hi,

I'm having some fun with Exchange 2003. I've got the Exchange agent installed and I thought that Backup Exec 10 was using it. But apparently not since it's showing Snapshot Full on the restore page.
So I've turned off Open File Agent and hopefully that'll fix it going forward.

But I need to restore a email Store from April and since it's a snapshot I can't use the Recovery Storage Group. Is there documentation on how to do this to another storage location or extract the .edb file from the backup.

Morning,

I tried a redirected restore but since the backups was done using the Exchange Agent and the Open File Agent (Snapshot Full), I can't use the Recovery Storage Group. I need directions for another method of doing a restore, Recovery Server I guess.

Can I say that the response from Veritas/Symantec on this has been less then stellar.

It was a fairly straightforward questions. What is the approved method, even if it's not doable that would at least have been an answer.
