I am trying to restore a single email from a users mailbox from a backup taken in 2004. The backup was taken from an Exchange 2000 server using Veritas, but since the backup was taken active directory has been rebuilt, and a new 2003 Exchange server has been installed. I've seen a number of articles which talk about the RSG, but from what I have read it seems as though this can only be used if Active Directory has not changed. I have also read articles about ontrack power tools, which I have used in the past, but for this don't I need an offline copy of the .edb files, rather than an 'online' backup? Is there way of getting what I want? If so how? :)
