Restoring email messages (Exchange 2000)

I'm attempting to restore 6 email messages for a user and was wondering if the Information Store comes offline during the process?

Also, there are some option I'm unfamiliar with under the "Exchange" properties. Such as,


Automatically recreate user accounts and Mailboxes.

Exchange v5.5
Can I just uncheck these since I have Exchange 2000?

Exchange 2000
No loss restore (do not delete existing transaction logs)
Commit After Restore Completes.
Mount Database After Restore.


The email messages are stored on an LTO1 100/200GB tape and total 50KB in size. If the Information Store does come offline how long do you think it'll take to perform the restore.


Other Information:

OS: Windows 2000 Server SP3
Veritas Backup Exec 9.0 Rev. 4454
