On Fridays, I run a full backup and then differential backups on other days. I get notices that the backup completed. Today, I went to restore an email for a user, I noticed that for the past two Fridays, all mailboxes have not been backed up. I see a partial list of mailboxes under "Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes" in the Restore Job Properties view. The last one on this partial list has a red x over it.
There are no errors on the server's event viewer. Backup Exec's Job Monitor shows Completed status: Successful for the most recent full backup on 11/23/07 and "Completed with Exceptions for the previous week. This was the one exception listed on 11/16/07: "Unable to open the item D:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\MDBDATA\16bd.STF - skipped."
I'm backing up to an RD1000 cartridge with 120GB native capacity. The 11/23/07 backup's byte count on the Job Monitor page shows up as 106,451,070,151. Can anyone help me understand what is going on?
