Hi,

We keep getting the following message in a number of servers event logs on the start of their backup Jobs:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Backup Exec
Event Category: None
Event ID: 57860
Date:  6/08/2007
Time:  11:30:24 PM
User:  N/A
Computer: <Withheld>
Description:
An error occurred while attempting to log in to the following server: "<withheld>".
 SQL error number: "4818".
SQL error message: "Login failed for user <withheld>.
".
For more information, click the following link:
http://eventlookup.veritas.com/eventlookup/EventLookup.jhtml
Data:
0000: 18 48 00 00 00 00 00 00   .H......
0008: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00   ........
The error is on databases that are not selected for backup but are still present in the selection list. Is it possible to stop the error message or prevent backup exec from polling them for access at the start of the backup jobs, as in some cases it is trying to access proprietary databases that we have no connect access to such as ACT7 being run under MSDE.

Thanks,

Chris

I'm receiving the same message.  Any assistance on this?
